You just never know.

You just never know what God has in store for your life. I have been let go from my job at University Praise. What I've known for the last two years will all be my past. Now, I must start a new adventure. I am excited, anxious, nervous, all at the same time.
I've been feeling a really strong tug in my heart the last few months to start moving on. But for some odd reason, I wanted a VERY clear sign from God. I guess to me, the strong "tug" at my heart wasn't enough. Therefore, He made it VERY, VERY clear to me on Monday morning when I heard that I was being let go. The whole time I'm just thinking, "Oh crap! They beat me to it!" Looking back, God was speaking to me loud and clear, but I wasn't listening to Him. So, in order for me to hear Him, I got the devasting news on Monday.
Right now, I'm going through the grieving process: shock, denial, anger & guilt, depression, acceptance, and empowerment. I'm not sure if this is in any particular order, but I'm pretty much feeling the first three all at once! I have no idea when I'll get over it, but I pray to God that I won't turn into a bitter person. That is the last thing I want to do. I want to eventually face my fears (my soon to be ex co-workers) and be able to be their friends again, but at this point, I just can't.
I am, however, so thankful for my best friend, her husband and kids. If you are reading this, I am so grateful for you! I will never be able to repay what you have done for me this week! I hope that I will be just as good as a friend to you. I have a whole new appreciation toward this friendship. This week will forever be with me! Words cannot express the amount of encouragement and love that has been expressed to me this past week. I am truly grateful for you guys!
Please pray for me as I start a new journey in my life. I've learned that life is just a whole bunch of experiences for you to look back on and to do better in what's ahead of you. I have many regrets, but I also have many hopes. Through all the bad and good times, failures and successes, I know that I am a daughter of Christ. For everything He has created is good.

Friends.

I love my friends. For those who I've encountered today, you know who you are. I just want to say "THANK YOU!" I love you so much! I could not have gone through this day without your support! I truly appreciate your listening ears and your shoulders to cry on! Thousand "thank yous" will never be enough!

Have you ever had a REALLY bad day? Well, yeah, for me that was today. It was an extremely bad day. But because of good friends, I was able to go on with life. I love friends that I know no matter what I can be totally honest with them and not feel judged. Friends that I can call and just cry and cry and at the end be able to end with laughters. I love that. God has given me great friends and I want to just let each of you know how lucky I am to have you in my life!

Okay, that's it for now. I'm tired. I will write more later!

Love ya!

The Day After.

Well, it's a day late, but I don't care. Happy Thanksgiving to all my friends and family! I love you guys! I hope that each one of you had a great time celebrating the special day with ones you love and of course, a great feast! I want to let you know that I am very thankful for each one of you.

I love the day after a major holiday. I don't know why, but anything before the holiday and on the holiday seem so stressful. The day after, you can sleep in and just lounge around. I love the feeling of not having to rush anywhere. You're not on a schedule and you can just do whatever you want. That's what I love. But here's a little snip of what I did on Thanksgiving Day.

The day before...I got to spend the day with the Browns and Hanscoms. What a lovely group! We started our day at Disneyland and California Adventure. We went on rides and watched some shows. Then for dinner we headed over to Storyteller's Cafe for a Thanksgiving Buffet. It was fabulous! There were so many things to choose from and there was a pretty decent size dessert table. Kim and I put together a sample platter of desserts, but of course by the time we got to the table, we were completely full! Sadly to say that we took only a few bites and could not stuff anymore. We ended our day with fireworks, snow and a train ride around Disneyland! It was a lot of fun! Thank you to the Browns and Hanscoms for adopting me this year!

Today, I will lounge around and then head off to the movie theater with a friend and dinner afterwards. I love the day after! It's my favorite holiday!

I would love to hear what you did for Thanksgiving and/or your favorite day! Please feel free to post a comment! I love you guys!

**Sorry if this blog doesn't quite flow. I'm still recovering from yesterday day of fun!**

Lovely. It's Monday!

Yeah. I love Mondays. Yes, you should be able to detect sarcasm. Today, I went to work for about 2.5 hours and then took the rest of the day off. I've been working a lot lately and finally found the need to take some time off to recuperate! I think the need came also after the fact that I keep finding strands of gray hair on top of my head. As many of you know, I have A LOT of hair, so to detect even a strand of gray hair is usually not possible. So, yes, 10 gray hair=day of rest.

Well, the last two weeks of my life took me for a loop. A lot has changed at my job, University Praise. We gained a lead pastor and 2 employees has resigned. So, my anxieties for the new year is VERY, VERY high! Please pray for me as I go through the transitions as well as God's will for this church. Lots are happening right now and lots more are to come. Please keep me in your prayers.

On to some fun things...Yesterday night we had a church potluck and game night. It was so much fun! I played a game of Seafarers of Catan. It was crazy. All the cards were flipped upside down and you're just pretty much basing it on luck where you place your settlements! It was so much fun! My friends created new rules to this game. It was crazy! I was one point away from winning. I had all the cards in my hand to make that happen, but out of no where my friend went from having 7 points to gaining the longest road card and building a city and settlement for the win! Let me say it again...It was CRAZY!

After the game, people pretty much left to go back home. But the few that stayed behind, we played a couple of rounds of Apples for Apples. This definitely will go on my list for favorite games! If you haven't played it before, it's worth buying the game and playing with about 5 to 6 players. Any less would not be as fun, but still could be. Anything more will just be too many. Let me just tell you, it was a great game! I am going to eventually invest in it. It's pretty addicting.

So, that's a little recap on my weekend. I hope you all had a pretty good weekend! Please drop me a note/comment to let me know what you are up to!

Peace out!

A beginning....

So, I've been reading a lot of blogs lately and I'm thinking to myself, "Hey, why not start one myself?!" I don't want everyone in the world to read this, but only people that I know. Therefore, if you are reading this, consider yourself very special because you were hand selected!

I love blogs because it tells a story and keeps you updated on your friends. It's a diary to a degree. It's a place where your friends from far away can be updated on your life. I like that. So, if you feel like starting a blog, please do! Join me on this new adventure! Also, please comment on anything you read! I would love to hear what you're thinking!

I love you guys! Enjoy!
